Symphony of the Leaves (Coming Soon)

On May 16, I step aboard the world’s largest cruise ship for a whirlwind tour. Will I blend in with the décor? Will I get mistaken for a centerpiece? Only time will tell.

Dearest deck-dreamers,
The countdown is on. On May 16, I’ll be touring the magnificent Symphony of the Seas, one of the largest cruise ships in the world—and I’m bringing my best fronds-energy with me.

Word on the wind is this ship has:

  • Multiple neighborhoods (do plants get assigned a zip code?),

  • A ten-story slide (no thank you),

  • A park with over 20,000 real plants (finally, some distant cousins!),

  • And more restaurants than I have leaves.

I won’t be setting sail—just taking a peek—but this tour is a sneak preview of a life I could definitely get used to. I plan to inspect every nook of the Central Park neighborhood, judge the solarium lighting, and maybe pose dramatically by a railing or two.

If they don’t name a cocktail after me by the end of the day, I’ll consider it a missed opportunity.

Stay tuned,
